The Reverend Samuel Doak organized the Scots-Irish settlers living in the Forks of the Holston and Watauga rivers into New Bethel Presbyterian Church in 1782.  Today, as for more than two centuries, we joyfully welcome all those who come to seek God's blessing, to receive His Holy Word and Sacraments, and to participate in the ministry of our Risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
